Within the framework of the investment project "Creation of new engineering production facilities based on energy-saving technologies", PJSC "VAP" has entered the final stage of upgrading its production equipment and integrating computer-based technologies of product development. Innovative, highly technological facilities will be used for serial production of hydraulic systems and aircraft control systems for AN-140, AN-148, AN-178, AN-124, Mi-8TV-5-1, and Mi-38. Anticipating the savings of UAH 12,760,000 in energy consumption, our company plans to increase the output by 50-70% between 2014 and 2021.

In 2012 PJSC “VAP” decided to undertake EASA Part-145 approval procedure as part of the broader program that aims to implement the European standards of flight safety in Ukraine.

In early April of 2013 our company successfully passed the first stage of the audit revision for compliance with the requirements of EASA Part 145, which was conducted by an audit team of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine (SAAU). The EASA Part 145 standards regulate maintenance of aircrafts and their components.

The concerted actions of our employees helped our company to integrate the requirements of the above standards into the existing quality management system and demonstrate a successful implementation of such standards to the audit team. In July 2013 the SAAU granted PJSC “VAP” the EASA Part 145 approval certificate №UA.145.0075.

In April 2013, according to the results of certification audit, PJSC “VAP” received certificates of quality management system as to standards EN ISO 9001 : 2008 and ISO/TS 16949 : 2009 issued by the international certification institution TUV Technische Uberwachng Hessen GimbH.

Results of the rating assessment of social and economic activity of enterprises and organizations of aviation industry of Ukraine for the IV quarter 2012 were drawn at Central Committee of Labor Union of Aviation Engineers of Ukraine together with Association of Aviation Industry Enterprises of Ukraine “Aviaprom”.

PJSC “VAP” occupied the third place in the “A” group (industrial enterprises).

In December 2012, installation and acceptance of 2 sets of 816GTK10I-2 for gas pumping aggregates GTK10I have been conducted at “Purovskaya” station of LLC “Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk”. In total, there are 5 sets of equipment of this type installed at “Purovskaya” station.

In May 2012, repairs of automatic control system PAES -2500 have been carried out during repair works on control system and installation of fuel equipment set of PJSC “VAP” production consisting of gas dosator and two expansion valves of installation elements set instead of previous for improvement of accuracy and reliability of control of automatic control system microcontroller motor at the house set power station “Peregrebninskoie” of LLC “Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk”. The fuel equipment is controlled by automatic control system of LLC “Kaliningradgazpriboravtomatika”

As to beginning of 2013, the equipment set has worked for 600 hours with no faults. Acceptance of the system is planned for the second quarter of 2013.

The results of PJSC “VAP” activity were discussed at a meeting held before the New Year holidays.
Members of the Board informed on accomplishing of the planned rates of the entrprise’s activity during 2012, in particular:

• Production volume increased by 9.5% comparing to 2011;
• Energy consumption decreased by 5%;
• New highly productive equipment has been introduced (three and five contour processing centers Spiner ТС600-65, Spiner UT-620, Spiner VC-750, Sodick, Stama VC326/TWIN, Weiler DZ, Integrex I-200, Walter POWER);
• Redecoration has been conducted of industrial premises using energy saving materials;
• A new galvanic area was put into operation.

Financial situation of PJSC “VAP” was esteemed by the Management Board of the enterprise as stable.

Chairman of the Board positively assessed activity of the staff in the past year.

Among primary aims for 2013, the business plan provides for shortage of production losses, more efficient use of production staff potential, equipment park, industrial areas, improvement of technologic processes, broadening of outsourcing opportunities. Each direction has a special development strategy drawn for it.

The competition for Commonwealth of Independent States Award for achievements in quality of goods and services has been established by Resolution of CIS member states of November 25, 2005. It can only be participated by leading enperprises of the member states, winners of national competitions in quality.
In 2010, by recommendation of Regional Authorities and certification institution “State Enterprise “Kharkovstandartmetrologia”, Public Joint Stock Company “Volchansky Aggregate Plant”, as one of Ukraine’s best enterprises, represented Kharkov Region at the National stage of the third competition for Commonwealth of Independent States Award for achievements in quality of goods and services and became its winner.
In 2011, the enterprise, being already the winner of the National stage, represented Ukraine at the International stage of the Competition. Experts of the Competition from Belarussia and Azerbaijan examined all areas of social and economic activity of PJSC “VAP” and admitted its high level. During a week, the experts examined running of the enterprise, conducted unofficial interviews with employees and the town’s citizens, and later drew a conclusion. On June 21, 2012, a meeting of Economic Committee of CIS was held in Saint-Petersburg, where a decision was taken on awarding PJSC “VAP” with second place in the category “Industrial goods production”. PJSC “VAP” decently accomplished the mission of improvement of status of Ukrainian engineering on the international level. This outstanding achievement is a reason to be proud not only for PJSC “VAP”, but also for Kharkov Region and Ukraine in general, because we have enterprises capable of solving complicated issues and achieve high results.
On 21 August 2012, the awarding ceremony was held at the Executive Committee of CIS (Minsk, Belorussia) for winners of the CIS Award Competition 2011 for achievements in quality of goods and services.
The third Competition was participated by 29 enterprises and organizations from 7 CIS countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.
Permanent authorized representatives of the states, enterprises and organizations were invited to the awarding ceremony – winners of the Competition (from PJSC “VAP” – Head of Quality and Certification Administration, Mr. Dmitry Panasenko), management and officers of the Executive Committee (Chairman of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of CIS – Sergey Lebedev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Belarusian Republic, Permanent authorized representative of Turkmenistan in authorized and other institutions of the Commonwealth, Mr. Murad Yazberdiev etc.), representatives of International Council in Standardization, Metrology and Certification and State Committee in Standardization of Belarusian Republic.
The ceremony was opened by Chairman of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of CIS – Sergey Lebedev. In his opening speech he noted that the approved priority of the Commonwealth is economic cooperation.
Chairman of the Executive Committee believes that one of important steps to mutually beneficial development of CIS economies was signing of the Treaty on Free Trade Zone in October of the previous year. Its provisions are aimed at, in particular, fostering high quality goods, development of export opportunities and business reputation of CIS member states’ producers.
Activity of International Council in Standardization, Metrology and Certification and corresponding national authorities is aimed at fulfillment of these aims. Sergey Lebedev stressed that constructivism is one of basic elements of the Council’s work, and therefore constant improvement of norms and legislation and be put in harmony with purposeful implementation of the adopted documentation.
No doubt, activity of the Council includes the initiative on conduct of the competition for Commonwealth of Independent States Award for achievements in quality of goods and services as well as its practical implementation.
On behalf of the CIS Executive Committee, Sergey Lebedev congratulated all winners of the Competition to their high achievements, acknowledgement of their success in production of competitive goods and providing services of good quality and handed over their Diplomas of Merit.
This outstanding award joined the impressive list of international achievements of the plant and is important evidence that PJSC “VAP” is not only one of the best enterprises in CIS but has developed into a serious European enterprise.
Not only awards prove achievements of PJSC “VAP” but also figures of its economic activity. Within 2009-2011, the company ensures the growth of sales volume of 157.6%.
All the achievements are, no doubt, the result of hard work of all he employees. Having qualified staff and sound management, the enterprise aims at higher levels of development.
The plant develops steadily. The management conducts the policy in quality based on the principles of creating value for consumers. The next step to international acknowledgement and quality system development is viewed as certification for compliance with requirements of ISO/TS 16949 standard.

In Alushta on 9-12 June, the XI International Athletics Meeting of the Labour Union of Aviation Engineers of Ukraine was held on the base of the renewed “Spartak” Olympic sports center.

The Athletics Meeting organizers are the Labor Union of Aviation Engineers of Ukraine, Association “Ukraviaprom” and physical culture and sports community “Ukraina”.

Competition was held on such sports this year: arm wrestling, weight lifting, athletics, chess, checkers, ping-pong.

The intrigue of the winners was preserved until the very end. Mastery, insistence and persistency made possible for PJSC “VAP” team to occupy the deserved first place.

Victory was not easy, as our sportsmen had strong and decent competitors.

On 17-20 of April, 2012, PJSC “VAP” presented with its own exposition a line of new aggregates for gas turbine motors and aviatechnics developed by the design and experimental office of PJSC “VAP” in the framework of the international exhibition “Motors-2012” in Moscow – electromagnet brake of high-lift for “Antonov” planes, - fuel equipment (gas dosator, shut-off valve) for operational pressure up to 7.5 MPa for industrial gas turbine plants fueled with natural gas, - upgraded plunger pump NP-107М. Management and specialists of PJSC “VAP” held negotiations with representatives of porter enterprises. There were signed: protocols of perspective with OJSC “Motors”, OJSC “Motor Sich” on development of aggregates of gas and liquid fuel for container gas turbine power stations, OJSC “Volga-Dniepr” on increase of resource of the NP-107 pump for hydro system of An-124 plane, protocol on cooperation with OJSC “Aviazapchast” on supply of aviation aggregates for repair of aviatechnics in India and China.

At the moment, the “OIL and GAZ” exhibition is a largest international business event participated by global and national leaders of oil and gas industry. Among the exponents there was newest oil and gas industry equipment, perspective developments and achievements in oil and gas extraction with use of new scientific technologies.

PJSC “VAP” presented its developments in upgrading and repair of gas transporting systems. There were a number of agreements achieved with: “Ukrtransgaz”, “Progress”, OJSC “Motor Sich”, “SNPO im. Frunze”, CJSC “Ukrgaztekh” etc. It is obvious from the results of negotiations and feedbacks of our constant consumers that PJSC “VAP” occupies one of the leading positions in production, delivery of explosion proof equipment – shut-off valves, dosators of gas with control blocks for gas pumping stations both in Ukraine and CIS countries.

On the first weekend of the month, September 3, the plant’s employees headed to the plant’s stadium. A day of active leisure, communication with friends and colleagues in unofficial circumstances lied ahead. The staff gathered at the stadium to celebrate the Engineer’s Day and Aviation Day together.

At the same time, it is not quite correct to call the day when sports competitions were staring a recreation day, but not for the plant’s employees. The plant’s workers are familiar with sports and such events are first of all active leisure for them. During the solemn opening ceremony “Sports, activeness and health” teams of all manufactories were greeted by Chairman of the Board of PJSC “Volchansky Aggregate Plant”, deputy of the City Council A. Antonenko, Chairman of the Labor Union Committee, Head of Supervision Council, A. Lukashchik, Chairman of Physical Culture Council, Chief Arbitror of the competition, P. Svetlichny. They sincerely wished participants good luck and significant success.

For setting cheerful mood, an artistic type of competition activity was traditionally included into the competition agenda between the departments – amateur talent shows. Support for the teams was also strong – while waiting for news on their colleagues victories on the competition stages, masters of cuisine competed in the art of cooking of noodles and other dishes. The sports program included 8 types of sports – athletics 4x100, mini soccer, beach volleyball, arm wrestling and weight lifting, checkers and dominoes as well as tug of war.

On the concert scene before a large number of viewers, not only the plant’s employees, but also their families, children and grandchildren, showed their talents. All departments who won competitions in various sports were awarded.

At the moment, International Aviation and Space Exhibition MAX occupies the deserved place among other leading global aviation forums where the world’s high technologies for joint projects are presented. For all those concerned with aviation and space industries, MAX provides a rare opportunity to learn opinions of persons engaged into taking decisions on key issues of development, production and sale of aviation mechanisms and weapons, gives full picture of proprieties and achievements of aviation and space enterprises, provides specialists and businessmen with a unique opportunity to establish multilevel contacts, further development of production cooperation and search for new business partners. The role of the Exhibition as a generator of new alliances and fruitful ideas in acknowledged all over the world.

During the work at the Exhibition, there were agreements achieved with leading national and foreign producers of aviatechnics  such as: “Antonov” state enterprise, “Ivchenko-Progress” state enterprise, OJSC “Motor-Sich”, “KhAKB” SE, OJSC “Yakor”, OJSC “KMPO”, OJSC “Kuznetsov”, LLC “Firma-Mikmar”, “Rubin” aviation company, OJSC “Kamov”, OJSC “PMZ Voskhod”, OJSC “Tupoliev”, OJSC “Aviadvigatel”, OJSC “Aviazapchast”, OJSC “RSK Mig”, Liulky Scientific and Techologic Center, “Motor” aviation repair company, OJSC “KVZ”, “NPP Saliut”, Unique Electronics Limited, Aeroservice LTD, OJSC “UTAir-Engineering” and other participants of the Exhibition.

PJSC "VAP" team occupied the 2nd place in overall team competition of the program of the 10th Anniversary International Athletics Meeting of Aviation Engineers of Ukraine taking place in Alushta on June 13-17, 2011, under the aegis of the Labor Union of Aviation Engineers.

Among the developments of PJSC “VAP”, there is electromagnetic brake (EMT-1) for transmission of flaps control. Since 2012, certification of (EMT-1) is planned for new Antonov planes.

The developed electromagnetic brake is a continuation of the production line of the serial brake 72.00.57.46.100.000 used in aircrafts АN-72, АN-74, АN-140, АN-148. Thematic plans of the enterprise also include upgrading of structure of serial aggregates (NP107, NP-9В1, KPM-02, KPM-148) in terms of reliability and term of use.

Aiming at maintaining the adopted policy of the state in improvement of quality of national goods (Order of President of Ukraine No. 113 of Feb. 23, 2001), PJSC “VAP” participates the competition for the CIS Award for achievements in quality of goods and services in 2010-2011.

As to the results of the enterprise’s assessment on regional and state level among enterprises and organizations with more than 250 employees, PJSC “VAP” became the winner of the national stage of the CIS Award competition.

Serial production of the aggregate was accomplished in the shortest term possible. It was contributed by implementation of new equipment including five-coordinate processing centers, electroerosive machines, and the system of automated technological processes projecting account for this.
